간이식을 받은 환자가 다시 마취와 수술을 받게 되는 경우 면역억제제의 장기간의 부작용을 고려하고, 시술 시 멸균의 유지에 신경 써야 한다. cyclosporine의 복용과 관련된 가장 흔한 complication은 hypotension과 nephroxicity이다. 이 초기 기간의 국소마취는 출혈과 감염의 위험이 있으므로 금기이다. 간이식을 받은 환자는 일반적으로 처음 2개월 간은 혈종의 제거를 위한 개복술, open liver biopsy, bile leakage correction등의 시술을 받는다.
